Activities
MARKET DEVELOPMENT
In partnership with other local and international organizations, ATAG
has developed a comprehensive strategy intended to strengthen existing
and creating new market linkages. This is currently being done by nurturing
relationships between the U.S., European and Regional importers of Ghanaian
handicrafts and the local artisans and exporters. This Market Development
strategy includes:

Participation in Trade Shows in the
U.S., European and Regional markets, |

Organization of promotional activities
and related promotional materials such as preparation of color sheets,
catalogues and brochures with product information on existing and
new products etc., |

Organization of special events such as the annual
ATAG Christmas Bazaar and other similar events and exhibitions, |

|
Training (local and external) for the artisans
as well as ATAG staff, |
 |
|
Collaboration with Fair/Alternative Trade Organizations
for village artisan groups and |

|
Operation of Retail Shops for the sale of products
developed by the artisans. |
